Her obituary: Coleman – Mardette Neel Coleman, 81, formerly of Marietta died Saturday, January 20, 2007. Mrs. Coleman is survived by her daughter, Margaret C. Anderson, and her husband Mickey; granddaughter, Sally Anderson of Dallas, GA; sister-in-law, June Neel; niece Mitzi Hoffman; niece, Matresa Allison; nephew, Tracy Neel all of Houston, TX; nephew, William R. Coleman, Jr., Thomson, GA. Her husband Fred R. Coleman preceded her in death. A native of Savannah, Georgia, Mrs. Coleman taught English at Sprayberry High School for over thirty years. She was a member of the Sprayberry retired teachers group, Alpha Delta Kappa, and Powers Ferry United Methodist Church where she was active in the circle and involved in the establishment of the WINGS Scholarship Fund. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid bridge player. She was also a member of a local Red Hat Society in Dallas, Georgia. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 2, 2007, 11:00 am at Powers Ferry United Methodist Church. Reverend Sharma Lewis, Powers Ferry United Methodist Church, will officiate and Dr. John Brantley, Blue Ridge United Methodist Church will deliver the eulogy. A reception at the church will follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the WINGS Scholarship Fund at Powers Ferry United Methodist Church, 245 Powers Ferry Road, Marietta, GA 30067. Arrangements by H.M.
