Juanita Barton, teacher, 1952-1973. Mrs. Barton died on November 30, 1993. This is her picture from the 1960 Echo. The 1973 Echo was dedicated to her.

Her obituary: Her obituary: Barton – Juanita Carter Barton, age 82, of Rogers Rd., Cumming, died Tuesday morning [after] an extended illness. She was the widow of Rev. Barrett L. Barton. Survived by daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John H. (Bettie) Vickers, III, Cumming; grandsons, Mr.John H. Vickers IV, Cartersville, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick B. Vickers, Cumming; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. O.E. (Eloise) Wilson, Sandy Springs; brother[-in-law] James H. Barton, Cartersville; a number of nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2, 1993 at 2 p.m. at the Midway United Methodist Church with remains placed in state at 1:30. Dr. Michael Cash, Rev. Art O'Neil officiating. Interment in Arlington Cemetery, Sandy Springs. I lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Midway United Methodist Church Building Fund, 5025 Hwy 9 North, Alpharetta, Ga. 30201.
