Her obituary(contains errors): Garner, Irma Walters – Irma Walters Garner, 80, of Marietta died Sunday, April 4, 2010. Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Cecil Fike officiating. Mrs. Garner was born in Greeneville, TN. She graduated from Tennessee Tech. She taught at Sprayberry High School from 1953-1957 and retired in 1989. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, W.L. Garner of Marietta; one son, Larry Garner and Stephanie Betteridge of Marietta; two daughters, Linda Rushing and husband, Tommie of Statesboro, Becky Geisel and husband, Brian of Milton; granddaughter, Katie Rushing of Statesboro; grandson, Thomas Rushing of Statesboro; granddaughters, Corine Geisel, Kendal Geisel, and Natalie Geisel all of Milton, GA. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Cobb County Unit, 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd. #280, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
