William A. Strozier, Jr., 69, former Marietta resident – William A. Strozier Jr., 69, of Rome, formerly of Marietta, died Sunday. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Alpharetta City Cemetery with the Rev. Charles E. Hoover officiating.
A native of Newton County, Mr. Strozier was a retired public school science teacher at Sprayberry High School, Marietta city schools and Tucker High School. An Emory University graduate, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II as a medical corps lab technician. He was a member of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta and the Retired Teachers’ Association. Survivors include sister, Winnie S. Hoover of Rome; brothers, Dr. Thomas B. Strozier of Miami and Henry E. Strozier of Alexandria, Va.; nieces and nephews.
