Her obituary: Bowen. Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie M. Bowen, of 322 Allgood Rd., will be held Friday, August 28, 1987 at 1 p.m. from Galilee Baptist Church. Rev. J.C. Jennings, officiating. Interment, Georgia Memorial Park. He remains will lie in state at the church at 12 noon. The family will assemble at the residence at 12:15 p.m. She is survived by husband, Mr. C.C. Bowen; son, Mr. Villa Drain, Jr.; daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Freddie (Annie M.) Scott, both of Atlanta; step-son, Mr. John Drain Doraville; brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Cohen Hogan, Canton; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hill, South Carolina; sister, Mr. and Mrs. George Morrison, Atlanta; one grandson, one granddaughter; two great-granddaughters, one aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
