Adelaide Cain Cochran, teacher, 1970-1980. She married while at Sprayberry and taught under both names. Mrs. Cochran died on June 19, 1990. This is his picture from the 1973 Echo.

Her obituary: Adelaide Cochran, 60, high school teacher – Adelaide Elizabeth Cochran, 60, of Kennesaw died Tuesday. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Marietta with the Revs. Dick Harris, Charles Sineath, York Chambless, and Gene Collum officiating. The body will be at the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Cochran was a member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church where she taught the Searcher’s Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Chio Hamby Circle. A retired school teacher, she taught at Sprayberry High School from 1970-80 and at North Cobb High School from 1980-87. Survivors include her husband, Harold L. Cochran; one daughter, Julie Cain Burton of, Marietta; one step-daughter, Susan Bliser of Atlanta; 2 sons, Stephen Lee Cain of Lilburn and William Andrew Cain of Athens; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family asks contributions may be made to Addie Cochran Memorial Fund, St. Stephens United Methodist Church, 636 Roswell St., Marietta 30060. Hay-Gantt Funeral Home in Marietta is in charge of arrangements.
