His obituary: Tyler Lee Key, August 7, 1991 – December 13, 2025. Tyler Key, 34, tragically lost his life here on earth and met Jesus face to face on December 13, 2025, in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Tyler Key was born on August 7, 1991, in Marietta, GA, to Dennis Key and Lynn Key. From the day he was born, he was their pride & joy. Tyler graduated from Sprayberry High School in 2009. From there, he went on to work for the Cobb County School District for many years before beginning his career as a Plumber with Polk County Public Services in 2019. Tyler was a dedicated & hard-working employee, always doing his job with integrity and intention. He made many friends in his time at PCPS and has left a lasting impact on everyone there. Tyler married his high school sweetheart, Lauran Key, on October 6, 2012, in Marietta, GA. From their first date in 2008, the couple made many precious and cherished memories and shared in many great accomplishments. Two of their greatest accomplishments being the births of their daughter & son. Tyler enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working with his hands, working in the yard, watching the Dawgs win a game & thoroughly enjoyed a good Mexican restaurant with a great hot sauce. He enjoyed coaching his daughter in softball, playing in the dirt & mud with his son, supported his wife in her passions, and always cheered on his friends and family. Tyler is survived by his wife & two young children, Lynn Key – mother, Dennis Key – father, Amy Wade – mother-in-law, Allen Wade – father-in-law, Harrison Wade – brother-in-law, Payton Baker (Zach) – sister-in-law, Rachel Harrison – Grandmother-in-law and countless other family members and friends. Tyler is preceded in death by Opal Key – Grandmother, Buster Key – Grandfather, Dot Davis – Grandmother, J.L. Davis – Grandfather, Bruce Harrison – Grandfather-in-law, Jack Wade, Grandfather-in-law, Jo Ann Wade – Grandmother-in-law. A celebration of life for Tyler Key will be held on December 20, 2025, at Piedmont Church in the Conference Center, in Marietta, GA from 12:00-2:00.
