Class of 1985

Sarah Straub. Sarah died on September 5, 2021.

Her obituary: Sarah Bennett (Straub), Sunday, November 26th, 1967 – Sunday, September 5th, 2021. Milford, CT is where this angel first started her quest of being a life long servant of love. The gifts of life and opportunities she goes on to give are truly incredible. Sarah Straub Bennett, Aka Miss Sarah, aka Nonnie, aka Nonnon, aka Sar-bear, aka Jellybean aka MOM, spread her wings and took flight to continue her journey of generating endless kindness, compassion and love. Born 11/26/67. Mother of 4 and 7 grandchildren. Second mother of (were still counting) and wife. The youngest of originally 7 then 9 after her father remarried. Her mother passed away shortly after the birth of her first son and this single mom had a million different choices she could have made and she chose one and only one. That was to be the best mother she could ever imagine to be and that is exactly what she did. As her son grew older she started to add to the family by inviting one into her home, letting others get a chance to love. Little did she know that her selflessness would go into creating a family and changing the idea that blood is thicker than water. Showing and treating everyone person she encountered with only one thing on her mind.. if you are in need and she had the ability to help you in any capacity she was going to do it. Once she stopped on the road at a bad accident involving a motorcycle and within seconds made the decision she was going to help, just before her passing with all that we have gone through she at her oldest daughters wedding dress picking a woman collapsed and she without hesitating knew what to do and saved her life and resuscitated her. Proof that kindness isn't a choice it's a way of life and belief. And she believe our lives would all be better if we could love and want each other to always succeed. When someone tells you it can't be done no matter what it is because it's too difficult do not ever believe it. Miss Sarah taught us that if you have the WILL and BELIEF everything is possible. May we all take the time to pay our respects and gratitude for a woman who celebrated her life through the joy of watching and being there for her family and giving everyone even if they didn't know it a better chance to have a better, minute, hour, day, month, year or life. She treated every one of us with the exact same level of respect and left us a much better world to live in. It's not goodbye, Keep the bright light shining.
