John Edgemon. John died on January 10, 1981. This is his Sophomore picture, his last school portrait.
His obituary: Mr. Edgemon. John Martin Edgemon III, age 16, of 2872 Timberline Rd. N.E., Marietta, died Saturday. Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today at the chapel of Albert M. Dobbins Funeral Home of Marietta with the Rev. James Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John M. Edgemon II of Marietta; grandparents, Thelma Edgemon of Greentown, Ind.; Edith Gulley of Kokomo, Ind.; several aunts and uncles. Mr. Edgemon was born in Kokomo and had lived in Marietta for 2 1/2 years. He was a sophomore at Sprayberry High School. He was on the freshman and junior varsity football team at the school. He was a member of the MYF of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Albert M. Dobbins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
