His obituary: John Acree Jr., 41, Marietta resident. John R. Acree Jr., 41, of Marietta died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. Burial will be in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park cemetery. Mr. Acree was employed by Leeman Architectural and Design Company in Powder Springs. He was a member of the North Georgia Amateur Umpires Association and was a Cobb County girls' softball coach. Survivors include two daughters, Brittany Acree of Marietta and Jessica Acree of Canton; his parents, Johnnie and Diane Acree of Ellijay; his grandmother, Vonceil Williams of Marietta; and two brothers, Kevin Acree of Griffin and Mark Acree of Macon. Contributions may be made to the Bells Ferry Girls Softball Association in Marietta. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
