His obituary: Scott W Darch, May 14, 1963 – December 22, 2025. Scott W. Darch, age 62, passed away on December 22, in Orlando, Florida. He was born in the Bronx, New York, and grew up primarily in Marietta, Georgia, where he formed a lifelong, close-knit circle of friends. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Harold George Darch, and his mother, Catherine Antoinette Darch. He is survived by his fiancée, Michelle Mahlen; his three children, Rachel Darch, Alexandra Smith, (Husband Dylan Smith), Jack Darch; and his grandchildren, Hadley and Emersyn Smith. Scott and Michelle were the love of each other's lives. He was loving, kind, quick-witted, extremely funny and known for his deeply generous heart. He loved the beach, with Daytona Beach holding a special place for him, followed closely by Cocoa Beach. He had a lifelong passion for cars, especially Porsches, classic cars, and muscle cars, and as a young man owned and worked on Porsches. Highly intelligent and self-made, Scott enjoyed a long and exceptionally successful career in business technologies. He earned numerous awards and accolades and was especially proud of his role as a mentor, helping many of his employees achieve financial success and personal growth. In high school, he was an extraordinarily talented trumpet player, including achieving the rare remarkable feat of reaching the high C. He was recruited for professional opportunities and idolized legendary jazz trumpeter Maynard Ferguson. Scott was a man of faith, believed in God, and prayed every day. He was an avid film lover, enjoying movies of all kinds, with a particular fondness for horror and comedy. He loved animals, sports, music, and was a wonderful cook. He loved to have fun and make people laugh. He, in every sense, was an amazing man. His presence enriched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed. No services will be held at this time.
