His obituary: Mark Richard Van Beek, October 9, 1963 – November 3, 2011. Mark Richard Van Beek, age 48, of Marietta, GA, died Thursday, November 3, 2011. Mr. Van Beek loved NASCAR and spent his career with Auto Zone. He was a Green Bay Packer fan and loved to travel. Mr. Van Beek graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1981 and was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Van Beek and by his Paternal and Maternal Grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Van Beek of Marietta; parents, Richard and Gloria Van Beek of Marietta; brother Bret Van Beek of Roswell; brother-in-law and sister-in law Kyther and Taz Potts; two nieces; one nephew; and a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM, Wednesday, November 9th at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta (770) 424-4924.
