His obituary: James E. Roper Jr., 34, truck driver. James Edward Eddie Roper Jr., 34, of Kennesaw died Tuesday, May 19. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Paran Church of God North in Marietta, with the Rev. Mark Walker officiating. Burial will be in Mars Hill Church Cemetery in Acworth.
A native of Cobb County, Mr. Roper was a self-employed truck driver and a member of Mr. Paran Church of God North.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Jessica Roper and Eleaner Katherine Roper, both of Kennesaw; his mother and step-father, Judy Payne and the Rev. Reginald W. Andrews of Kennesaw, his father and step-mother, James Edward Sr. and Audrey Roper of Dallas; one sister, Kay Helton of Acworth; two stepsisters, Runan Belcher of Woodstock and Audrey Scott of Marietta; one step-brother, Ken Andrews of Woodstock; his grandparents, Ruby Ethel Roper of Marietta and S.K. and Asenath Payne of Acworth. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.
