Her obituary: Lezlie Ann Petty, October 12, 1962 – March 13, 2021. Lezlie Petty, 58, of Marietta GA passed away on March 13, 2021. She is preceded in death by her beloved black lab, Lucy. Lezlie was a special education teacher and cheer leading coach at Cox High School. She was extremely creative and had started a craft business. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. She worked with the Saint Vincent de Paul Society at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Hope for the Homeless and Must Ministries opening the warming shelter. She is survived by her beloved mother, Shirley Petty, brothers Scott Petty (Lynn) and Adam Petty (Sally), sister Nicole Kidwell (Stewart) and several nieces and nephews along with her beloved black labs Lulu and Riki. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to St Vincent de Paul Society, Transfiguration Catholic Church 1815 Blackwell Road, Marietta, GA 30066 or the Lab Rescue LRCP, PO Box 1814, Annadale, VA 22003. The Lab Rescue will be finding a forever home for Lulu and Riki. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 16, 2021 at Transfiguration Catholic Church at 3pm. 1815 Blackwell Road, Marietta GA 30066.
