His obituary: Barry A. Cranfill, July 10, 1962 – October 17, 2020. Barry A. Cranfill, age 58 of Roswell died at 6:11 PM Saturday, October 17, 2020 in Kennestone Hospital of Marietta. Barry was born in Richmond County, Georgia, July 19, 1962, a son of the late Jerry Anthony Cranfill and Barbara Anne Franklin Cranfill. During his working career he served as a nurse anesthetist. He was he president and CEO of Sentry Anesthesia; past president of the ANNA, past president of the Georgia Association of Nurse Anethetists; and past president of the Georgia Board of Nursing. He had served eight years in the US Army as Chief- Warrant- Officer- 4. He served as a U.S.Army Apache helicopter pilot in the Desert Storm war with Iraq as Med-Evac (Medical Evacuation) chopper. Barry spent most of his adult life in the Marietta and Roswell communities, and was a member of the Marietta Church of God. To his children he was an awesome dad. Barry is survived by his wife Stacia Johnson formerly of Gordon County and now of Roswell; one son, William Cooper Cranfill; one daughter, Ashley Anne Cranfill; one brother, Timothy Dale Cranfill; one brother in law, Jeff Williams, two sisters in law, Rebecca Cranfill and Trina Williams and her husband Jeff. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and one great niece also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 20 at the graveside of Chandler Cemetery with the Reverend Shane Parrott officiating. Pallbearers serving are: David LaGuardia, Chris McWilliams, Steve McLain, Michael Mudge, Gene Spier, and Niel Seeley. Thomas Funeral Home is honored to service the family of Barry A. Cranfill.
