Her obituary: Deborah Ann Thames, September 6, 1961 – March 2, 2017. Mrs. Deborah Ann Thames, 55, of Kennesaw, GA passed away March 2, 2017. She was born on September 6, 1961 in Huntsville, AL. After graduating from Sprayberry High School, Deborah attended Kennesaw Community College. She was a faithful and devoted wife to her husband of 30 years before his passing. Even in his death her unending love for him continued to show. She was a loving and nurturing mother to her two daughters. She taught them unconditional love through her marriage and faith. Deborah held a deep faith in God and was very active at Hillcrest Baptist Church, serving in the Ladies Bible Class and graduating from Faith Bible Institute. She was selfless, compassionate and very tender hearted. Deborah found joy and happiness caring for her family, friends and special fur baby, her dog, Molly. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles. She will be immensely missed by many. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ben Thames. Deborah leaves behind her daughters, Ashley Crockett (Jeff) and Sarah Oliver (Andrew), grandchildren, Bianca Morrissey and Hayden Crockett, mother, Anerol Reese, sister, Lisa Cantrell (Charles), brother, David Goddard and step-father, Randy Pettit (Diane). The funeral service will be Monday, March 6, 2017 at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2-5pm at Woodstock Funeral Home.
