Her obituary: Rebecca Marie Celano, November 19, 1960 – May 1, 2023.
Rebecca Marie Celano passed away on May 1, 2023 and now lives forever with her heavenly father. She was born on November 19, 1960 in Altus, Oklahoma, and spent most of her life in Georgia. Rebecca was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Rebecca – Becca – Becky – Becks were just a few of the names she went by, but Nonna was the greatest title she ever carried, and a role she cherished deeply. Rebecca was proud of her Italian roots and loved to share her culture with those around her – especially by using her hands to talk! She had a warm and welcoming personality that made everyone she met feel like an instant friend. She made a positive impact on many people's lives, and her family finds comfort in knowing that she will be remembered fondly. She lived in wonder and awe of God's creation of nature and animals. When she was in nature, she was at peace.
Rebecca is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Levi Tuggle, her grandchildren Jackson and Jase Tuggle, and her siblings Joe Celano, Kim Celano, and Dean Celano. She was also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Al Celano and Marie Celano. A Celebration of Life will be held in the coming weeks near a creek in the North Georgia mountains, where Rebecca would feel the utmost serenity and happiness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Alliance of Hope, a nonprofit organization that provides support to those who have lost loved ones to suicide. Donations can be made at https://allianceofhope.org/. The family invites all those who knew and loved Rebecca to join them in sharing stories & photos to celebrate the mark she left here on Earth.
