Robbie was an Army brat, born in Queens, NY. He was raised on military bases around the world, including places such as Germany and Thailand. His favorite activity as a young boy was playing Army. He grew to be an acolyte at Saint James Episcopal Church and an Eagle Scout. He was a graduate of Sprayberry High School and Savannah State College. He settled in Auburn, GA and was a Commander of the 5th Brigade of the Georgia State Defense Force, rising to the rank of Colonel. His Brigade and others in the State Defense Force were his extended family – his service with the Guard was a huge part (and pride) of his life. Robbie was a gregarious lover of life. He was so was so generous he would literally give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He embodied all that is good and bright in the world. He loved spending time with his grandbaby, Olivia and his children, siblings and nieces and nephews. He was always the jokester, loved to make others laugh and loved watching the Hallmark Channel, secretly a romantic at heart. Even upon his passing, he gave the very last he had, donating through LifeLink as an organ donor to help others in need and for research and study. He was loved by so very many and will be missed by all he knew – All who met him are lucky to carry his heart in theirs now.
