Mike Herald, 50, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 18th 2010. Mike was a loving father, brother, friend, and known to many as Uncle Mike. He served 12 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of Desert Storm. He touched the lives of so many people with his constant smile and contagious laughter. He will be truly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Herald and brother, Jeff Herald. Mike is survived by his mother, Helen Herald of Marietta, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kristin and Joseph Hammett of Perry, GA; daughter, Kandice Herald of Decatur, GA; brother, Mark Herald of Kennesaw; sisters Janette and Jennifer Herald of Marietta; grandson, Payton Hammett of Perry and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 22 at 11 a.m. at the Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta with Dr. Tom Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund at P.O.
