Her obituary: Gilleland, Lori Diane. Lori Diane Gilleland, 57, of Statesville, NC, formerly of Atlanta, GA, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017. Born August 7, 1959, in Atlanta, GA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Ethel Roach Gilleland. Ms. Gilleland was retired from the CDC where she worked as a Network Engineer. She was passionate about her beloved dog, Sassy, fishing, cruising and spending time on the lake with her family. She was preceded in death by a sister, Amy Gilleland and niece, Mary Ellen Bennett. Ms. Gilleland is survived by her sister, Vickie Lynn Gilleland, of Statesville; niece, Erin Lee Welsh (Mike), of Chicago and great nieces, Abby Welsh and Alexandra Bennett. Services will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
