His obituary: Timothy Hughes Kelly, March, 1958 – February 20, 2025. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Timothy Hughes Kelly on February 20, 2025 after a hard fought battle with Leukemia. He was an amazing son, a great dad to his two daughters, and a wonderful Papa to his four grandkids. He had a passion for fishing, often found by the water, casting lines and sharing stories, and he was an avid Georgia Tech sports fan, cheering on his team with unwavering enthusiasm. He is survived by his loving mother, Sylvia; father, Harold; former wife, Lurleen; and his cherished daughters; Lauren and Sarah and grandchildren; Logan, Brooklyn, Evalyn and River. His warmth, humor, and love for family will be cherished forever in our hearts, and though he has left this world, his spirit will continue to inspire us and bring us together, just as he always wanted. Funeral Services will be Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 4:00pm. Mr. Kelly will lie-in-state from 2:00-4:00pm at the Gospel Temple Congregational Holiness Church, 10733 Ball Ground Hwy., Ball Ground, GA 30107. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. All floral deliveries should be delivered directly to Gospel Temple Congregational Holiness Church in Ball Ground after 12:30pm on Sunday.
