Joseph David Joe Bowman, 58 of Arab died Friday, October 30, 2015 in Marshall Medical Center North Emergency Room. Mr. Bowman was born January 17, 1957 in Rome, Georgia the son of Joseph Richard Dick Bowman and Louise Davidson Bowman. He and the former Tammy Jo Helton (Bowman) were married 10 years and have called Arab their home for the past nine years, being a former resident of Montgomery. He was Vice President of Gulf Coast Division, North American Spirit and Wine and a board member of the Alabama Distiller League. Joe is survived by his wife: Tammy Bowman; a daughter: Lauren Bowman Walters; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Cody and Christina Walker and Wes Walker; two grandsons: Blaine and Brody Walters; his parents: Joseph Richard Dick and Louise Bowman; a brother: Jon Bowman; a sister: Jennifer Butler; two nephews: Justin and Chris Butler (Jesse) and several cousins; his mother-in-law: Glennies Griggs; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: David and Linda Helton and many dear friends; preceded in death by a brother: Douglas Richard Bowman.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Kenneth Freeman, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. Pallbearers will be Frank Hayes, Robin Bowles, Russel Bozeman, Clay Helton, Dakota Helton, Wayne Martin and Josey King and Quintin King as Alternate Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Alabama and Mississippi Sales Team Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
