His obituary: Rudy Alan Wolter, January 9, 1957 – August 3, 2021. Rudy Alan Wolter, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Rudy was born January 9, 1957. A gathering of friends and family for Rudy will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Blount & Curry FH-Macdill Chap, 605 S. Macdill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609. The Celebration of Life ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM. Additional parking and a shuttle service will be available at Bayshore Baptist Church 3111 W. Morrison Ave, Tampa FL. The family plans to honor Rudy's incredible life by wearing his favorite color pink! Please honor his life by wearing pink or bright colors. Due to the high COVID cases in Florida and for the safety of Rudy's friends and family, face masks are required at Rudy's Celebration of Life regardless of vaccination status. On July 3rd, 2021 he was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt–Jakob Disease (CJD) which is a rare, fatal brain disease. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 9th, 1957 to Alice and Herman Wolter. In the summer of 1971, the Wolter family moved to Marietta, Georgia. Rudy triple majored at Bryan College in Business Administration, Secondary Education, and Art. Also while at Bryan College he played college basketball. Rudy worked as Chief Technology Officer for Citi Bank in Brandon, Florida. Besides spending time with his family and friends; Rudy had a passion for traveling, attending sporting events, a good bourbon, and cigars. Rudy was truly a one in a million man. He had the ability to make anyone he spoke with feel important and heard. He also had the ability to sense when you really needed a kick in the butt and the ability to be the life of a party or even a conversation. He touched many lives with his passion for life and the love for his friends and family. He is survived by his four children, Jason Wolter, Kristine Marcotte, Amanda Wolter Carrero, and Devon Wolter; his two grandchildren Kaiden Marcotte and Adalynn Wolter. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents.
