His obituary: Nolan Sims, June 18, 1957 – December 16, 2023. Nolan Sims, age 66, of Douglasville passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Mr. Sims graduated from Southern Tech with an Associates Degree in Engineering before working at Southern Engineering and later RaceTrac where he engineered gas stations before eventually retiring. He will be remembered as a great guy who loved classic rock and had a vinyl collection to prove it, a NASCAR fan, a player of the stock market and someone who enjoyed debating politics. A private memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Sims will be held at a later date. Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the services of Mr. Nolan Sims.
