Her obituary: Gail Davidson Wade, March 29, 2025. Gail Davidson Wade, age 67, passed away March 29, 2025. She was a resident of Cobb County in Mableton Georgia. Presently and eternally changed her location to a citizen of Heaven. Gail graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1975 and later graduated from Kennesaw State University with a R.N. degree in nursing.
During the summers of 1976-1978 she worked in missions with South American Missionaries in Peru, Pucallpa. Later, Gail joined Wycliff Bible Translators in Peru, initially working as a nurse in a clinic for 10 years and also studied at the master's level during this time. She married her first choice, Bob Wade, on December 28, 1994. She with her husband Bob were longtime members of Westside Baptist Church, who were strong supporters of World Missionaries. Gail along with her husband and children joined Mableton First Baptist in December of 2013. During that time, she worked with Awanas, choir, and served on the Missions Committee and the food pantry. She raised and home schooled her children until returning to the Cobb Douglas Health Department where she retired in July of 2024. Gail was a loving and caring wife, mom, and friend. God gave her a huge servant heart and a kind listening ear. It brought her much joy to serve others by cooking for them and being a safe space for anyone needing to talk. Her favorite hobbies were cooking and gardening. She blessed many people with those endeavors. She loved Jesus dearly and always trusted that He had a plan and would carry her through anything. All while battling cancer for five and a half years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles William Davidson and Carolyn Osborne Davidson; brother, Charles Laverne Davidson
Gail is survived by her loving husband, Bob Wade; precious children, Rachael Wade and Robby Wade; nieces and nephews, David, Daniel, Timothy, Hannah Davidson, Lilly Martinez; sister-in-law, April Koos. She is also survived by Amanda and James Robert Koos; brother, Richard (Georgeann) Davidson and their children, James, Jennifer, and Larissa; Aunts, Uncles, cousins in Alabama that are so dear. The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday from 4:00PM-8:00PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 1:00 PM at Mableton First Baptist Church with Rev.
