He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 9, 1956, son of the late James Marion Gann and the late Willie Maye Grogan Gann. He is survived by his wife: Kimberly Silvius Gann; children: James Gann (Kelly), Michelle Miller (Justin), Valinda Rampley (Taylor), grandchildren: Savannah Edwards, Paige Gann, Austin Miller, Anna Miller, Tinley Rampley, Tate Rampley, Kasey Galindo, Jack Winn, Nila Winn, Collin Shaver, Tristin Shaver; brother: Dean Gann (Sandra). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Gail Yarbrough.
