His obituary: Charles Denward Poor passed away on August 10, 2023. He was born on June 10, 1957 to Annette and Leroy Poor in Marietta, Georgia where he lived his whole life. Charles attended Cobb County Schools, graduating from Sprayberry High School in 1975. His entrepreneurial spirit and wide range of skills led him to establish a handyman business, which he enjoyed until his passing. Charles was predeceased by his parents. Family members, who will miss him greatly, are brothers, Terry (Cynthia), Albert, Danny (Sue), seven nieces and nephews, and 15 great nieces and great nephews. Charles' outgoing personality and his compassion for others resulted in many friendships which were very important to him. A Celebration of Life for Charles will be held on Saturday, August 19 at 1:00 PM at Highland Marietta Church, 999 Whitlock Avenue, Ste. #2, Marietta, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in memory of Charles to your favorite charity. SouthCare Cremations and Funeral Society is working with the family.
