Steve Ruiz. Steve died on January 20, 2019.
His obituary: Steve Ruiz bravely defeated cancer on January 20th, 2019 when he left this life to join his Savior. Steve was the first–born son to Richard and JoAnn Ruiz on August 12th, 1955 in Atlanta Georgia. He was blessed with a large family and is survived by his 4 sons- Casey, Corey, Caleb and Ethan, 8 grandchildren- Hannah, Morgen, Abbie, Landon, Gunner, Cayden, Sawyer and little baby Clara, 4 siblings- Tracy, Vince, Karen and Renty and his parents, Richard and JoAnn Ruiz. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip. Steve always tried to be a great role model, teacher and provider to all. He was also blessed with a great number of friends who respected and loved him dearly. The outpouring of care, company and love that he was shown in the last months of his life were a true testament to the impact that he had on so many lives. He was never afraid of hard work and loved to share his faith in Jesus who has now welcomed him home. He will be Greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but we celebrate his life knowing that through Jesus Christ we all have the choice to see him again.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist of Woodstock on Sunday January 27, 2019. Family will begin receiving guests at 2pm. Service will begin around 3pm.
