His obituary: Michael Ray Helton, February 18, 1955 – July 16, 2019. Mr. Michael Ray Helton, age 64, of Woodstock, passed peacefully on July 16, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born on February 18, 1955, in Copper Hill, Tennessee, to loving parents, Junior and Tootsie Helton. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Mike was an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan and displayed his pride for the team often. He also enjoyed fishing, but loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and brother; Greg Helton. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years; Diana, sons; Duane (Rayna) and Clint (Michelle) Helton, daughters; Melissa (Grayson) and Christa, sisters; Karen Berrong and Sharon (Larry) Day, 3 granddaughters, 7 grandsons, and 1 great grandson. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Lakeside Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Lakeside Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to support Childhood Cancer Fund, www.childcancerfund.org.
