His obituary: Mark Hughes, 44, former Marietta resident. Mark Hughes, 44, of Atlanta, formally of Marietta died Sunday, December 10, 2000. Services will be 2 pm today at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with the Rev. Tom Cocklereece officiating. Burial will be in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. A Cobb County native, Mr. Hughes was employed by Crestone International in Atlanta as a systems analyst. He was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church in Marietta and a former member of Shady Grove Baptist. Survivors include his parents, Eugene and Edith M. Hughes of Marietta; two brothers, Gene A. Hughes of College Park and Gregory L. Hughes of Woodstock; one sister, Lynda Walker of Nelson; and nephews and nieces. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta is in charge of arrangements.
