Gary Cook. Gary died on November 24, 2005.
His obituary: Cook – Gary Alan Cook, 49, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 24, 2005. Gary was an employee of Lockheed for 24 years. He was a dedicated member of IAMAW Local Lodge 709. Gary was a deacon of Cornerstone Baptist Church where he also served as Sunday School Superintendent, was active in prison ministry, youth ministry and community outreach.
Gary was a very talented man of God. He had a heart for others and especially loved working with children and the elderly. He loved his family and he loved the Lord. His walk with God was of utmost importance to him and he was an inspiration to all. Gary has gone home to be with Jesus and we will meet him in Heaven, when God calls. Gary is survived by his parents, Carl and Bobby Cook of Marietta, brother Reid Cook of Kennesaw, niece Tamra Wester (Eric) and children, Carlee N. Brandt Bettis of Kennesaw, niece Tanya Luster (Jeremy) and son Landon of Acworth and nephew Alan Cook of Whiteman AFB, MO. Gary's life will be celebrated at Cornerstone Baptist Church on Monday, November 28th at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at Medford Peden Funeral Home on Sunday, November 27 from 2 – 4 p.m. and from 7 – 9 p.m. We love you, Gary.
