His obituary: Gary W. Bowen, 33, Computer technologist. Gary W. Bowen, 33, of Smyrna, died Monday. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Community Bible Church of Marietta with the Rev. Jerry Willman officiating. Burial will be at Cheatham Hill Memorial. A lifelong resident of Cobb County, Mr. Bowen was a 1974 graduate of Sprayberry High School. He later graduated from Marietta-Cobb Vocational School where he studied to be a computer technologist. Survivors include his parents, Harold and Mary Ann Bowen of Marietta, his brother, David M. Bowen of Smyrna, paternal grandfather, C.W. Bowen of Marietta. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mayes Ward Funeral Home in Marietta.
