His obituary: Lewis, Wesley Velt. Wesley Velt Lewis, age 61, of Waleska, GA passed away Tuesday, June 09, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Lewis worked for Cobb County for 37 years, was a member of the Iron Order Motorcycle Club, was one of the original founders of Jasper's Chapter–Stars & Bars, an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He married Betty on 3-2-1975, they were married for 40 years. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, on Friday, June 12, 2015, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Dobbs, and Rev. Jackie Wilkie officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Thursday, June 11, 2015, at South Canton Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by, Father-Joseph Velt Lewis; Mother-Louise E. Lewis; Brothers-Lloyd Norton & Glenn Norton; Sisters-Joann Lewis Turner & Sandra Galloway, Survivors include: Wife - Betty Lewis, Brothers - Jack Lewis & Bobby Norton, Sisters - Sharon Lewis & Seqcomyah S Lewis Several Nieces & Nephews.
