His obituary:Wallace Shayne Dobbins. Wallace Shayne Dobbins passed away, shedding his mortal coil at home in Sarasota, Florida, on November 5th, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ellen McElhinney Dobbins; his son David (Laura) Dobbins, of Sarasota, FL; his eldest son Daniel (Kayla) Dobbins; granddaughter Poppy Calhoun of Atlanta, GA and his sister, Cynthia Dobbins of Woodstock, GA. Shayne was an avid gardener and gamer. He received BS in Mathematics from the University of Georgia in Athens and MS in Information Systems and Technology from Kennesaw State University. He taught high school mathematics and led information technology efforts in corporate insurance. His career spanned the country, working in the IT field across Georgia, Florida and Hawaii for over twenty years.
