His obituary: Rockland Sassenberger, 35, surveyor. Rockland Earl Sassenberger, 35, of Kennesaw died Wednesday. Funeral mass will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Father Robert Baker officiating. Burial will be at Pine Ridge Memorial Park. Mr. Sassenberger was a native of Albertville, Ala. and lived in Kennesaw for 22 years. He attended Sprayberry High School and was a surveyor. Survivors include his wife, Patty Debeau Sassenberger of Kennesaw; parents, Joseph and Sue Sassenberger of Kennesaw; one brother, Joseph Sassenberger III of Kennesaw; two sisters, Roxanne Graham of Marietta and Rochelle Smith of Alexandria. Contributions may be made to the Rockland Sassenberger Memorial Fund, 5200 Burnt Hickory Road, Kennesaw, 30144. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
