His obituary: Loy Dean Pearson, March 20, 1954 – March 29, 2001, Marietta resident. Loy Dean Pearson, 47, of Marietta died Thursday, March 29, 2001. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Medford-Peden Funeral Home in Marietta, with the Rev. Tommy Young officiating. Burial will be in Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery in Ball Ground. Mr. Pearson was a native of Jasper. Survivors include two sons, Billy Pearson of Rome and Michael Pearson of Cartersville; one daughter, Donna Pearson of Ellijay; three brothers, Billy Pearson of Kennesaw, and Homer Pearson and James Pearson, both of Marietta; and one grandchild; and nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends all day today at the funeral home.
