His obituary: Gary Leon Marcus, 54 of Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Marietta and Cartersville, died March 20, 2009. Mr. Marcus was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters and one grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Judith White Marcus of Kissimmee; daughter, Kimberly and Richard Hawley of Euharlee; son, Christian Marcus of Kissimmee; sisters, Shirley Dickerson of Marietta, Fay Stanford of Marietta, and Cathy Bramlett of Woodstock; brothers, James A. Marcus and Perry Marcus, both of Marietta; five grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 26, at 2 p.m. at the Harmony Grove Baptist Church, 4207 Shallowford Road, Roswell, with remains placed in state at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Jarrell Dickerson and Rev. Randall Harris officiating. Interment in Harmony Grove Baptist Cemetery.
