April 2, 1955 – October 22, 2015. David Earl Hoovestol, age 60 of Atlanta, died October 22, 2015. A Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday October 31, 2015 at Bill Head Funeral Home Duluth Chapel. Mr. Hoovestol was born in California and worked for AT&T. David graduated from Duluth High School in 1973. He played basketball and football. He also earned his masters degree from Georgia Tech. He was always willing to help family members and enjoyed being 'Grandpa Dave' to his step-granddaughters. He is survived by his wife, Lorna Hoovestol, stepson Dion Sevener (Mindy), Step grandchildren Isabell and Violet, mother, Rachel Hoovestol and brothers Brent Hoovestol, Jon Hoovestol and Steve Hoovestol. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.billheadfuneralhome.com.
