Her obituary: Cynthia L Kleckley, West Columbia, South Carolina, January 28, 1955 – May 15, 2023. Cynthia Lee Kleckley, 68, is at rest and rejoicing in her eternal home with her Lord Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully on May 15, 2023 surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Riverbend Community Church, on Friday May 19th, 2023 from 5:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. at 1015 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Cindy was born in Warner Robins, GA and resided in Irmo, SC. She graduated Piedmont Hospital School of Nursing in 1977. She spent much of her life loving and taking care of others professionally through hospice work. She also enjoyed serving through foreign missions in Russia, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Africa, and Greece. Through divine appointment on a recent mission trip, Cindy met a young refugee from Iraq named Aziz. He quickly became family after she led him to the Lord. Because of their God-connection, Aziz is now serving in ministry to other refugees. Cindy was predeceased by her father Jerry Charles Dempsey, Sr. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Shirley Dempsey, her loving husband, James Kleckley, and her children Jeremy (Katie) Buzzard, Jason Buzzard, and Jennifer (Adam) Frick. Her grandchildren include Elizabeth, Gabriel, Hannah, Abbey, Lilly, Elijah, Ezekiel, and Ezra. Her siblings include Sherry Nance, Chuck Dempsey, Randy Dempsey, and Toni (Lamar) Coker as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10. This verse gave Cindy comfort and strength throughout her life and she would often share it with others. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial gifts be sent to Light a Candle in support of Aziz at lightacandle.global/donate Select Missionaries and Aziz from the drop-down list of missionaries.
