His obituary: Mr. Anthony Cantrell. Mr. Anthony Tony Westbrook Cantrell, 51, of 204 Riverbend Drive, Calhoun died Saturday, July 2, 2005. He was born in Marietta on April 9, 1954, son of Betty Jo Westbrook Cantrell and the late Robert Cantrell. He was a member of Hill City Baptist Church and had been in the construction business in Gordon County for the last 30 years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, H.M. Westbrook and Walt and Mary Cantrell. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Marie Mullins Cantrell; a son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Nikki Cantrell; two daughters, Emmie and Sara Cantrell, all of Calhoun; grandmother, Vera Westbrook; mother, Betty Jo Cantrell; a brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Ann Cantrell; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral was Tuesday, July 5 at 3 p.m. from Belmont Baptist Church, with the Revs. Jeff Hawkins and Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment followed in Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery. Martha Sellers was in charge of the music, and nephews served as pallbearers. The family requests that in addition to flowers, contributions be made to the American Heart Association. Thomas Funeral Home of Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.
