He is survived by his wife, Mary; his son, Matt Southern; daughters, Kathy Petty and Shannon Long; sister, Tia Clayton; brothers, David, John, Joe & Jimmy Southern; 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
