His obituary: Kai Dale Johanson, October 3, 1951 – February 2, 2015. Johanson, Kai, 63, of Redington Beach, passed away Feb. 2, 2015, after a brief battle with brain cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alf and Maye Johanson. Kai is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kris; sister, Tonja; brother, Jon; five nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and nephews. Kai managed the Seminole Sherwin Williams store for 20 years before retiring in 2012. Kai will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and love of practical jokes. He was blessed with a loving family and many friends throughout his life and in his final days. A life celebration will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to SPCA Tampa Bay.
