His obituary: Don Henry, February 19, 1949 – December 25, 2025. Don Henry, age 76, of Ball Ground, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at his residence. He was born on February 19, 1949, in Atlanta, Georgia. For over 37 years, Don worked with Sheet Metal Local 85, where he proudly mentored many, passing along his knowledge, skills, and strong work ethic. Gifted with his hands, Don could build just about anything, from cars to houses and took great pride in his abilities. He was determined, hardworking, and straightforward, never shying away from a challenge. Don was a devoted NASCAR fan and, above all, a family man with a big heart. He loved his family deeply and will be remembered for his generosity, strength, and willingness to help others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughters, Stacey Henry and Stefanie Raleigh; granddaughter, Lina Anna; life partner, Nina Newton and her son, Jeff Roark and family. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Gresham Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 28th from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Monday, December 29th one hour prior to the funeral service.
