A devoted husband to his loving wife Barbara and father of five children, and two stepchildren Chad and Alissa Rickman, Brandon and Kellye Rickman, Cissy and Cliff Fleming, Brittany and Tucker Ely, Victoria Rickman, Debra and Scott Zajc and Chris Thackston. He was also a proud grandfather of 17 grandchildren and one great–grandson. A Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient, he served his country with honor and pride. He found great joy in life's simple pleasures, especially cruising with his beloved wife, spending time fishing, and watching his favorite sports. Whether enjoying an adventure at sea or simply spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, he cherished the moments they shared. He leaves behind a lifetime of precious memories and a family who will forever carry his love in their hearts. Paul will be laid to rest at the Georgia National Cemetery on a later date. Details regarding the date and time will be announced once arrangements have been finalized.
