His obituary: William Edward Headrick, November 18, 1948 – January 21, 2012. Mr. William Edward Headrick, age 64, of Marietta died Saturday, January 21, 2012. The funeral service will be 2 PM Friday, January 27th in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Jess Posey officiating. Burial will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites. Mr. Headrick was born at Roper Hospital in Jasper, GA. He attended Osborne High School and Sprayberry High School. Mr. Headrick was a Mason at Kennesaw Lodge #33 and had worked at Lockheed for about 40 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, being with his special dog, Deuce, and spending time with his family here and his family in Jasper. Mr. Headrick was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward Headrick, Sr. and Julia Mullins Headrick. He is survived by his wife, Tina Matthews of Marietta; son, William E. Headrick, III of Marietta; daughter, Tara Headrick of Marietta, stepdaughters, Kathryn Matthews & Erin Matthews both of Marietta; sisters, Nancy Duncan, Joan Muellar, Denise Headrick, Cheryl Spivey; grandchildren, Alexandra Mansfield, Austin Headrick, Hannah Headrick & Haley Headrick. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 9 PM, Thursday, January 26th and on Friday, January 27th from 10 AM until the time of the service at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta, (770) 424-4924.
