Her obituary: Nancy Elrod, September 5, 1945 – October 8, 2019. Mrs Nancy Gail Elrod, beloved wife of surviving spouse Joe Davis Elrod Sr. went to be with the lord after a brief illness on October 8, 2019. She was predeceased by her parents Elbert and Ruby Barnes and a son Joe Davis Elrod Jr. She is also survived by her son Elbert Elrod and daughters Gayla Key(Danny) and Audrey Clements(Mark). Also surviving are her four brothers, Ernest Barnes, Dennis Barnes, David Barnes, Tony Barnes, and a sister Linda White. Mrs. Elrod also was the proud grandmother to 8 and great grandmother to 8 as well. Visitation will be Thursday October 10th from 4-8pm and Friday from 10:00am until 2:00pm with a chapel service to begin at 2:00pm. Mrs Elrod will be laid to rest at Landmark Church Cemetery immediately following chapel service. Canton Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Elrod family.
