His obituary: Mr Loyd F Smith, 63, lifelong Cobb County resident. Loyd F. Smith, 63, of Smyrna died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Castellaw Funeral Home in Smyrna, with Dr. Ted Holley and the Rev. Ryan Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens cemetery in Mableton. Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of Cobb County. Survivors include his wife, Betty Smith; one daughter, Donna Georgiana of Smyrna; seven brothers, Hugh Smith of Acworth, Charles L. Smith, Thomas Smith and Bobby Smith, all of Marietta, Larry Smith of Stockbridge, Mike Smith of Dallas and Lonnie Smith of Talking Rock; one sister, Virginia Groover of Marietta; two grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
