His obituary: Bobby Ray Smith, 64. Bobby Ray Smith, 64 of Marietta died September 18, 2006. He was a life long resident of Marietta and Cobb County and was a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church. He is survived by his son Brian Smith and his wife Dana of Cumming; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Melanie Smith; he was predeceased by his brother Loyd Smith of Smyrna and is survived by brothers, Hugh Smith of Acworth, Charles L. Smith of Marietta, Thomas Smith of Marietta, Larry Smith of Stockbridge, Mike Smith of Dallas, and Lonnie Smith of Talking Rock; he is also survived by his sister, Virginia Groover of Marietta. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 22, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Chattahoochee Baptist Church 375 Johnson Ferry Rd. Marietta 30068. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
