Ernest is survived by his wife, Barbara Bennett Barnes; his daughters Sherry Seigler (Charles) and Shelby York (Tony Johnson); his sister Linda White (Larry), his brothers Dennis Barnes (Sherry), Tony Barnes (Marsha) and sister-in-law Betty Barnes; his grandsons Brady Ryan Seigler, Logan Anthony Johnson (Taylor), Andrew Dillon Barnes; granddaughter Becca Sun Barnes; great grandson Lincoln Elgin Johnson, many nieces and nephews. Ernest was preceded in death by his son Richard Ernest Barnes; parents Elbert Esco Barnes and Ruby Irene Booth Barnes; his brother David Barnes and sister Nancy Elrod and brother-in law Joe. A visitation for Ernest will be held Monday, July 28, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A visitation will occur Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152.
