Her obituary: Bunzie Joann Simpson OCTOBER 12, 1939 – SEPTEMBER 25, 2020 – On the morning of Friday September 25th, Bunzie Joann Simpson, wife of Max Donald Simpson and loving Mother of three children, passed away at eighty years of age. Bunzie was born to Clayton Robert and Villa C. Brown in October 1939 and was a lifelong resident of East Cobb County, Georgia. She attended Mountain View Elementary School and Sprayberry High School. In July of 1955, she married Max Simpson and their love lasted a lifetime. After raising their children, Mickie, James & Donna, she ventured into her second career in real estate, successfully earning a position as a top agent at Harry Norman Realtors during the 1980s. She was known for her warm generous spirit accompanied by her bright smile. As a woman of strong faith she actively attended services at many local churches throughout her life. She was well regarded for her reliable attendance and readiness to support and assist in whatever way she could, as it was needed. Her kindness and compassion were felt by every life she touched. Bunzie was preceded in death by: her parents Clayton and Villa, her son James, her husband Max, and her sisters: Melba Harp, Fleasha Gomez and Mary Henderson. She is survived by her Daughters, Mickie Simpson and Donna Simpson, her granddaughter Octavia Carney, her sisters Jean Welch and Peggy Jenkins, her brother Kenny Brown and a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be attended only by immediate family & intimate friends, due to COVID-19, at Winkenhofer Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Georgia. The funeral will also be broadcast on Facebook Live: Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 1:00pm.
